The 20th Hussars was a cavalry regiment of the British army
There nickname is " nobody's own "
Several unit was raised due to loyalty of its own indian cavalry unit and was made up of non-indian soldiers as an East indian company in 1858.
One unit was the 2nd Bengals European Light cavalry which converted in to The Hussars and took the number 20 when they transferred to the British army three years later but stayed in India.
The regiment disbanded in 1921 but was re-formed as a single squadron
Amalgamated in 1922 with the 14th king's Hussars to form 14th / 20th Hussars.
